Documented on X, but taken down. True? If true, how do coaches miss it?
I hate tu. It's in my blood.

The TV arrow was wrong for a lot of the game but the actual stat people had it right. So if the twitter feed was based on that then it's probably not true.

Ok. But in the last few minutes of the game, tu got consecutive inbounds after tie ups. A&M players were celebrating a tie up because the previous one went to tu. It didn't make sense. That was observed, not based on the tv arrow. Can something reset possession so that a team gets the ball twice in a row?

It's a toggle the scorekeeper presses. So of course.

They did not get the possession twice in a row. Here is a link to the full stat sheet with a play-by-play. You can read through and see there were no possession arrow issues.

In the second half there was a jump all at 9:01 (sip), 7:54 (A&M) and 4:49 (sip). That's it.

I am sure we have a person keeping the same detailed book as the official scorekeeper. If they saw an error, they can raise it to the official book to get it resolved. The officials also track it during the game (or at least they are supposed to)

I'm sure everything works perfectly at Reed avd no one ever complains about the scoreboard score keeping…not even the officials in the floor or the official scorekeeper!!!

Damn i went through the video trying to find them because the official game feed pxp didn't have it lol.

Yeah, there weren't any issues.

The screen arrow was wrong basically the whole time and I think some people might have thought we either called timeout or that the ball was out on Texas on the jump ball at 7:54.

This didn't happen, but just for fun fact discussion, the answer is yes. The possession arrow doesn't actually change until the team inbounds the ball, so if something happens before the inbounds that would award one team or the other the ball then the arrow stays with the same team. (Like a foul before the ball is inbounded.)

What we saw was at a little more than 2 minutes left in the game. Maybe tu got a time out before the tie up

Not sure what you're referring to, we scored on a Coleman putback at 2:40, they scored on a Johnson 3 at 2:14 and called timeout, we then got the ball and ran a possession that ended with a Garcia putback at like 1:40

It happens but it is pretty rare for there to be issues in a D1 game. As for middle school and some high school games…. There is a reason I have a system to track the possession arrow when I call.

When the score gets screwed up, it is a cluster F because fans blame the officials even though we have no way to track that during the game.

Our scoreboard has clock issues all the time.
