I agree here. For some reason he doesn't play as much as he should. I think its related to defense. When he is in the game maybe they are not able to switch as much as they would like. The other guys can guard all types of players.

With Wade out more offense should go through him. He is the second best option after Phelps

In due time. Buzz values defense over offense and as long as he has Wade, he will play guys that compliment him defensively more so than an offensive guy who can just get by on defense.

Hard to argue with what buzz is doing, or even question it, when the team is in the top 10 and on a 9 game winning streak

Payne played pretty well when he was in but for some reason we were better last night when we were small. Maybe had to do with defensive spacing but for a big chunk of the second half Andy was the biggest guy on the floor.

Buzz was probably matching the OU personnel on the floor. Their bigs were ineffective on the offensive end and it seemed like OU was trying to spread the floor with shooters and slashers.

I saw his effort was better in the 2nd half, but it was hard for him to keep up against quicker players. It's probably an adjustment issue and I'm sure it's something that will continually improve as our competition gets better.

Re Payne starting or not....
1. Depends on the opponent and match ups

2. Gives Payne a few min to watch the game and get a feel for the opponent.
Payne is still young and learning the Buzz D

3. Buzz respects Coleman and the time they have been together

Just my guesses. It Varies how many min our bigs get each game

You mean the Coleman that has been one of our steadier players over the last couple years and was key to the games we won in the tournament? The one that is averaging 19 min per game and in that limited time he averages 3 offensive boards and 5 total boards and 8.3 points per game?

Do you by chance over react much?

Btw, for the year they are averaging about the same minutes and points but Coleman a higher rebound average and almost 20% higher FT% which is key when trying to close out a game.
