I've already come up with how to fix the selection process and make it 100 times easier and more transparent but then a bunch of random rich people wouldn't get to hang out in a fancy hotel for a week.
You have like 200 voters, coaches, media, former players, wheover. They each have to electronically submit a ranking of 75 teams, including all of the auto-bid winners by an hour after the last game on Selection Sunday. Then either two people, or a computer program, you didn't even need an AI for this because it's pretty simple, slots the teams into the bracket based on the bracketing principles and the final bracket is revealed on the show.
The two highest and lowest rankings for each team are thrown out and the rest averaged to create a composite ranking, you rank all of the teams and then slot them into the bracket. After the selection show, every ranking is made public.
I absolutely love this idea
They should do it for football also
