Nice to see an Ag getting a well deserved payday.

Nice.

Need a documentary on him and what hard work and determination leads too.

He's been dealing with injury issues this season, hasn't started a game, and has played a far smaller role at OKC than as a Bull but on a far better team.

It speaks really highly of him and what the Thunder sees in his future for Alex to get this payday. He's gonna turn 31 at the end of February.

I'm happy for him. Worked his ass off and has been a key supporting piece on several good teams.

Pretty much the opposite of the JFF documentary

4 years, $81M total.
Alex may not start but you want him on the floor at the end of playoff games.
You win titles with players like ACFresh

Awesome for him. Insanely good use of his skills to the fullest extent.

It is crazy how high NBA salaries are these days. He makes the same amount as Mike Evans.

Especially in light of how crappy NBA TV ratings are.
Great contract for Alex tho. Well earned.

Yeah, no criticism of him whatsoever. The contracts are hilarious to me. Lauri Markkanen makes $50MM/year. Franz Wagner $45MM/year. There are countless contracts like this. There must be a lot of money that comes in from China and around the world on top of the regular TV contracts.

You compare that to someone like Corey Seager, who makes $32MM/year as a truly elite player.

Both are club contracts and for NBA at least the salary caps are tied to media contracts rather directly. We have zero clue how much they make in their NIL endorsements…

Exactly my thought. Can't think of many players that have had the journey he's had.

Alex Caruso is the "secret sauce" to any team.

When you say, "These just needs a pinch of something" and you're not quite sure what that is; it Caruso.

He just makes whatever team he is on better.

Hometown kid does his school proud.

One thing very similar in both would be the lead up to how they got recruited to A&M. A recap of the "should we or shouldn't we" debate going on with him would be hilarious in hindsight. I think most of us in the recruiting world were convinced he was a decently high level prospect before the Turgeon staff was.
