A Manny step back, this is truly the most magical time of the year

The lack of Andy is concerning unless he's currently dealing with something we don't know about

At what point was that foul called?

Not necessarily, he also logs a lot of minutes for us and plays incredibly physical basketball. I could see wanting to rest him some.

Plus Andy is the anti Hefner, his level of play usually positively corresponds with the quality of the opponent

Manny Obaseki is our single biggest offensive liability. It's terrible
Give me the guy who shoots for excellence and fails over the guy who shoots for mediocrity and succeeds.

Payne is going to be a force in the SEC

McDermott is having a decent game.

LOL at that hopeful "oop" by McDermott, as if Manny was going to pass, or even saw him.

Poor McDermott with some non garbage time action and already missed 2 bunnies.

I'm still excited about McDermott and happy to see him finally get a bucket!

He's doing a good job crashing the boards but seems a half second short on defense from making some big plays. His picks on offense are minimally effective (compared to Payne's) and that appears to be his primary role in the half court. Glad to see him for some extended minutes today.

He's not afraid to shoot it. I'll give him that. But my goodness.

It's so bad. He costs us 10+ points a game, I'll bet.

My thought was that others aren't better. Unless they don't take the floor…

If I'm reading the ESPN box score right… ZERO turnovers for Zu Phelps???!

I admire how hard Hefner has worked to improve his defensive skills. He's gone from a liability in that area to a pretty good defender. But honestly, I think this game shows the level of competition he should have been competing against during his career.

I don't disagree with that but as much time as the ball spends in Mannys hands….he's an offensive black hole.

It depends on what you want . Hefner has definitely been a positive contributor albeit not a star at A & M. Is that better or worse than being a key cog at say … Sam Houston? I'd say it's up to the individual but I would rather be an Aggie every day and twice on Sunday …. Not that there's anything wrong with Sam Houston or that level of program.

Think I'd want to play. If had the ability to keep playing baseball after school I would have gone anywhere that would have taken me.

Baseball is a little different imo because you could get developed into a next level player almost anywhere but like I said, it comes down to what the individual wants . Hefner for example , he wasn't going to be an NBA player whether he plays 12 mpg at A & M or 35 mpg at Lamar unless he had some remarkable growth spurt .

Coleman is the other side of the spectrum. He won't play in the NBA but he could have played 5-10 mpg at Duke vs 20+ mpg at A & M . Good decision imo. Maybe he plays in Europe if he even wants to. I know the money can be good but I strongly suspect he has a successful career ahead of him no matter what career he chooses .

Henry's got way bigger things than basketball in his future, IMO. Young man's got a great head on his shoulders, a born leader.

Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up running a company. Or being elected to Congress back in Virginia. Or both.

I agree and that's why I said what I said .
