Home sweet home! Only our 2nd home game in about the last 30 days! Battle tested and road tested are Buzz Williams and our Aggies! We are coming off a really tough stretch of games that began with Oregon, Creighton, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Texas Tech, and Purdue. With the only loss coming at the hands of Oregon in a game which we gave away!! Since then we've rattled off 5 straight QUALITY wins and are now ranked 12th in the country!
Starting today, the Aggies host two easy non conference games against Houston Christian and next week Abilene Christian before we start the gauntlet of sec play against tu on January 4. It'll be a nice few weeks to hone in offensively and create a rythym and consistency in ball movement and shot selection! (Or we can just continue to heave it up and have a 43% chance at another shot lol). One thing we need to see less of is turnovers!! Let's hope these next two games provide us with an efficient offense! I think we have one of the best defenses in the country. Let's spark our offense with an easier opponent and get this bad boy rolling into conference play!
HCU is 4-7! Two of the losses came to tu and Creighton, but the other 5 were all single digit losses to similar level teams to them. They haven't had one guy start every game this season, not sure if it's injuries or coaching, but I found that odd. We should absolutely obliterate them on the boards! We've been playing tough competition for about a month now, let's see how we respond to an inferior team! I wanna see us blow them out early!
