What is Max tv?
It's the streaming Ap for HBO-associated content, I believe.
I tried it out yesterday and it does have the Vegas Tournament games on it, though yesterday's games were also available on TBS from the TNT network sports coverage. I don't think today's games are on regular cable (TBS ot TNT) though I have not checked this a.m.
What I could find:
Wednesday, Nov. 27
- Game 5 (Power Group): Oregon vs. San Diego State | 4 p.m. | Max (Streaming Only)
- Game 6 (Power Group): Texas A&M vs. Creighton | 6:30 p.m. | Max (Streaming Only)
- Game 7 (Impact Group): Rutgers vs. Alabama | 10 p.m. | Max (Streaming Only)
- Game 8 (Impact Group): Notre Dame vs. Houston | 12:30 a.m. | TBS (Sling TV)
Saturday, Nov. 30
- Game 9 (seventh-place game): Impact 4 seed vs. Power 4 seed | 1 p.m. | truTV (Sling TV)
- Game 10 (fifth-place game): Impact 3 seed vs. Power 3 seed | 3:30 p.m. | truTV (Sling TV)
- Game 11 (third-place game): Impact 2 seed vs. Power 2 seed | 7 p.m. | TNT (Sling TV)
- Game 12 (championship game): Impact 1 seed vs. Power 1 seed | 9:30 p.m. | TNT (Sling TV)
I was trying to figure out how they seed the Power Group and Impact Group after two games since a first day winner could lose the second game against first day loser or first day winner and a first game loser could win second game against a first day winner or first day loser - with possibility of up to four teams ending up at 1-1, but now realize that the schedule was seemingly prescient in that it happened to pit the two first day losers in the Power bracket and the two first day winners in the Power bracket - so that one could deem those games to decide the 1 and 2 seeds (the winners playing today) and the 3 and 4 seeds (the losers playing today - Ags and Creighton).
On the other side of the tournament- the Impact bracket - a similar serendipitous scheduling seems to have occurred - putting the two teams who happened to win yesterday (Bama and Rutgers) against each other while putting the two losers (Houston and ND) against each other - so there will be a clear 1 seed (2-0 after today) and clear 4 seed (0-2 after today) in both groups with the only question regarding how to seed to the two 1-1 teams.
So, if Houston wins and Ags win - would we both be deemed 3 seeds and get to play each other Saturday?
