The problem they had yesterday once they got up 10 they started playing to lose and wreck-lace. In our next 6 possessions only one of them was a solid set up to Payne and his shot barely missed. Wade and Phelps just started driving out of control and into major traffic. Was it 4-5 straight turn overs that lead to layups. So besides not even getting shots off, we were not able to set up our defense. It was 1-2 minutes of basically throwing the game away.

That should be easily fixable. We shall see.

The hard part for me is the lack of organized offense to try and manufacture points. Appears to be know offensive play running discipline other than play ground hot hand take your best shot if you are open. And if your FG percentage sucks, then you lose.

Missed shots is one thing, but turnovers are completely a different thing altogether. They got back in the game because of 3 turnovers in a row. With our limited offense, we just can't turn the ball over.

We were also not getting to the free throw line enough. We were in the bonus for a while and we didn't take advantage of it. They outscored us in the paint too.

Yeah I'm hoping its an easy fix. I mean Phelps is new to this team and it could be that they're still finding themselves.

But....

Oregon is full of new faces so that can't be an excuse either. They made the plays they needed to make and we turned the ball over when they turned up the heat.

With mediocre results at basketball and an athletic department that is demanding higher quality teams in every other sport how can you not be at least hopeful? Hope is a choice!

I remember gloating last week over having the depth needed to win games, but I don't know if that assessment holds true anymore.

We needed Solo's defensive presence badly guarding Angel and/or Mamba.

Totally agree - just poking fun since you gave me a little crap when I said I didn't have hope on another thread.

We protect the ball. We win the game. When we have games of long stretches of self inflicted turn overs. We lose. Same thing cost us games we should have easily won last year such as the Vandy and Hog games.
