I was surprised to hear about this because I haven't seen in either of the state's major newspapers - Houston Chronicle and Dallas Morning News.

I'm assuming the he gets the boot from almost any coach for violence as described against a woman half his size. With the talent that Texas lost after last season, if he is kicked off the team for beating his girlfriend, it would really damper any hopes that Texas has off winning the Big 12.
Playing the enforcer on the court is cool. Playing the enforcer with a girl half your size is cowardly.

Rhodes (the girlfriend} claimed that Klotz slapped her, punched her in the face and then pinned her against the car door. Rhodes said that she then hit Klotz back, and that he responded by grabbing her by the neck and slamming her face against the car door.

For some reason, there is no big headline or even a story on the Dallas Morning News.
