The fans are volatile. Buzz teams work VERY hard and get better all season, most years. We lost in OT to a top team on a night we shot FTs poorly. Unlucky in a few spots like 3 with toe on line or Carter bad call out of bounds. Lucky when Andy hit 3.


Great game where we battled and lost to a top team that hit some amazing shots.

We didn't play UConn

Also not going straight at Shead during OT instead of taking contested threes or shots in traffic. Fouling him out first would've been huge.

Some NBA teams have FT coaches.

I really think Buzz completely bungled the OT by not adjusting. After Sharp fouled out they were content to let UH get the switch from solo to Taylor on Shead and watch him dribble the ball for 15-20 seconds and drive one on one. At that point Shead was their only real option and he'd played the every minute of the game. It let him gather himself and use his ability. Why the hell didn't they try to trap him on the picks to get the switch? If someone else makes a shot to beat you so be it.

How about this one. We scored 86 in regulation against the NUMBER 1 defensive team that won the best conference in the country who held most of their opponents to under 50. Is that better grumpy?

FYI those 86 were the most points scored on Houston all season.

LOL... This thread was created with several minutes left in regulation, about 20 real-time minutes before AG's 3 to send it to OT. Talk about BAS.

Over the course of a 30 game season, all but the very best teams have ups and downs. Just about every team in the tournament had bad games and stretches- For example:

UH lost to Iowa St by 29 in their conference tourney,
Alabama went through a stretch where they lost 4 of 6 and got beat by and average of 16 in those loses,
North Carolina when though a 2 week stretch where they lost 3 of 5,
Arizona lost 3 of 5 over 2 weeks in Dec/Jan
UConn lost by 19 to Creighton and 15 to Seton Hall
Wisconsin worked their way into the Top 5, but lost 6 of 8 in the month of February
UCLA was ranked 7 in the pre-season and didn't make the tourney

To say we're streaky and imply it's an anomaly in college basketball is not accurate.
