Kansas actually underdogs in this game. They'll get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to seeding due to injury because they're Kansas.
That team had a guy with an all-time great name for a player: Baskerville Holmes.

I think taking injuries into account in the seeding process is kinda dicey anyway unless there's just a lot of known data on the team with/without them and if their status for the tournament is certain.
Dana Kirk was a helluva coach despite the felonies. Baskerville Holmes killed himself after killing his girlfriend in 1997. Pretty tragic stuff.

Agreed, but you still see it happen fairly often. Never understood why a player being out should somehow mean the outcome didn't happen.
Way way way too predictable an inbound play by Depaul with 3 seconds left.
Look man they probably haven't practiced inbounds plays in three months. Certainly not end of game scenarios.
Part of me was thinking better to just let this come down to the last Nova possession, as ugly as this has been. Instead of dragging it out with fouls
