It was good to see Indiana State with long shot odds to make the field. None of the others were surprising to me. They did not release any other teams odds at this time.

Indiana State wishes the committee started making the bracket today.

All of their hopes and dreams are basically floating on their NET rating. If their NET were where their KenPom is they'd be toast.

That usually doesn't work out too well.

You know who else has only one Q1 win? Auburn. WTF is up with that? Talk about beating everyone who you're supposed to but nobody as good or better than you.

They're a good case for what I call "scheduling effort" which is a little different than just straight up SOS. Their schedule probably sounded pretty good when they were putting it together.

Along with Baylor and a road game at App State, they played Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Indiana and USC but those teams all end up being bad. Virginia Tech ended up okay but the other three all had NET's above 90. Notre Dame sucked last year too but USC and Indiana were both tournament teams.

That's true. They also mostly hammered everyone on their home court this year.

I'd personally take those odds on Virginia.
