C'mon bobinator. He improved over-night, between 3 games ago when we started this offense and 4 games ago when we didn't. I yield. I give coaching 95% of the change. I give Manny 25% for taking advantage of the opportunity because the results have been greater than a 100% change in team performance against the competition we played..

I like your math!

Let's put a 120% beating on Ol Miss the day after tomorrow - and then continue that same level of effort and result on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday- allowing us to completely skip any agonizing concern on Selection Sunday - and just watch to learn our seeding, location and opponent.

I'll settle this and say Buzz is the best coach in the country. Fair?
Certainly as good as any coach we deserve.

What's the point of this thread?
To try to get someone, anyone to compliment the coaching move that was a radical change. The twisting of the facts is pretty amazing here. Manny sucked, and then he didn't. But, now it's to Buzz' discredit that it wasn't tried sooner. Wow.

As much as I love the coaching staff, that is not what happened.

Manny gradually earned more minutes with better play. Coach has rewarded him with more minutes.

Congrats to Manny, to the coaches and to the fans.

OP is wrong.
Manny is just playing better recently, much better, shockingly better. Therefore he is getting more minutes.

It has zero to do with a 3 guard lineup.
We've been playing 3 guards all year.
This is not complicated.

The biggest difference is manny is now playing on the floor with boots and wade. Previously , he was brought in when wade was taken out and played 1v1 vs running the offense.

Exactly, thank you

I'm not saying it was overnight. And it actually started in the South Carolina game. We lost that game, but Manny played pretty well and Carter was terrible so they gave Manny the start against Georgia and he was effective in that game as well so keep it rolling.

I guess we can just agree to disagree if you think the Manny we've seen the last couple of games is the same one we saw earlier in the season just with different teammates on the floor and think that constitutes some kind of incredible coaching decision.
I think the coaches changed his focus. Before Manny was trying to playing PG at least half the season. Now, it seems that the coaches just told him to play isolation against your man and beat him into the lane and get a decent shot ala what Boots has been doing all season.

I dunno for me it's almost the opposite. He has 8 assists in the last four games and only had 13 all season before that.

If your premise was correct, it would actually say the exact opposite about this coaching staff than what you're trying to say. Not sure why you don't see that.

I'll defend the staff here and agree with others that your premise is incorrect.

Manny reminds me of a young Elliott Perry.

Only similarity is being left handed.
Manny 6-4 200lbs
Perry was a generous 6' 150lbs.
