True, it's something to work on but not what I'd call an area of concern. I look at it like if 60.6% is the floor, you do no worse than this and consistently improve as we roll forward? Yeah, I could live with that.

We're bringing back the core of our team, but there's still a few new faces. They're probably still finding out the fine tuning aspect of how the team works together.

Even though this was a scrimmage, it's a scrimmage against Baylor; a very talented, very well coached team. Great numbers overall to get things started.

It's pathetic we don't play this game for real during the season.

I get it though. It's not the same as playing Baylor. Growing up, Baylor basketball made me hate Baylor more than any of our other rivals in the Big 12 and even more than any SEC team.

Yeah, it's definitely more annoying when we're playing 10 SWAC teams or whatever, but it's still kind of annoying this isn't a real game. Especially now that we've re-established ourselves as a decent program.

I'd propose an annual home and home as one of the first couple games of the season, but with each school having the flexibility to put that game on the Friday before a November home football game to help attendance.

Or Texas and OU joining the SEC creates some interesting opportunity also. You could stack some combination of A&M/Texas/OU and Tech/Baylor/Houston somewhere.

SWC Classic, TT, BU, UH vs A&M sips pigs could throw in OU and TCU in the mix do a 4 day event, you play 2 games, like the do in baseball

I've always thought that annual games vs Baylor and Tech would make too much sense. Easy way to generate excitement early in the season, and get a big crowd pre-winter break. Just rotate every year on which one is home/away.

Texas isn't the Deep South. And why does Texas have more nba teams than nfl teams?

That Baylor rivalry was the best. I get the reasons for jumping to the SEC, but it's had some downside.
