I hope so but he gets injured a lot the way he plays the game with reckless abandon. It's a huge part of what makes him so valuable but I think that may limit his NBA lifespan somewhat.

He's also already 29. Just to pick one, he's older than Joel Embiid by a few weeks and it seems like Embiid has been in the league forever.

Didn't want my only post to be negative so congrats to Caruso. People always remember the recruits their school didn't get, but this is one we almost didn't get but did after Turgeon and company were finally convinced.

Caruso's recruitment was interesting, still wonder what it would have been like if he'd have played on one of the bigger summer teams.

I know Caruso was recruited by and played for different coaches and in another "era" of Aggie basketball - with the teams he played on enjoying various levels of success - but, since the rebirth of Aggie basketball under BCG and through the years to the current regime under Buzz - it seems like our team has been and is known for tough, defensive play.

I note that new recruits (invluding Turkson) and portal transfers in, like Dexter Dennis last year and others.this year, appear to be "defense first" kind of guys.

I wonder if we could/should play up and highlight the physical, defensive team focus in our PR and even recruiting campaigns - and include Caruso as a poster child as one of our "alumni" - or would that scare away kids who are all about offense - including fast play, high flying dunks, and three point shooting?

Of course, based on who we are getting on the recruiting and transfer trail - that identity might already be out there.

I don't think there's any question that our brand is as an effort team, which is fine. Robert Williams is also a defense-first guy that's making his way in the NBA. As was DeAndre Jordan.

But we've also had some really good offense-first players, including our best current player and our best current NBA player.

You're right. But even with those two guys - they seem to have used hard work and effort to exceed expectations. I guess that'll be who the Ags are... which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Would still love to have a guy like Tre Johnson out if Lake Highlands to give us a serious look!

Caruso earns 2nd team but the highest guard on the list.

He's made nearly $26,000,000 for his career (so far)

Was NBA all defensive team always just the best voted or was it at one point an actual position based squad? Of course shot blockers will he favored.

2024 NBA Hustle Award winner. Marcus Smart had last two and three of previous five for the Keltics.

Correct, this is a recent change. Shame for Caruso to left off first team despite being the best perimeter defender in the league.

Not tryna be negative, but he made second team because all the end of the year award teams are positionless now, which is dumb.
