All the talk about the committee punishing A&M is reason why there shouldn't be a committee in the first place. They do this behind closed doors without any set criteria. One year conference games matter next year non conference games matter. The last two years the tournament hasn't mattered. It's obvious that they are not applying a set criteria equally to all teams. I wouldn't be surprised that some teams have different criteria altogether.

I agree but I also think that post January 1 performance should make up for a poor non-conference. Most articles and metrics I've read has A&M as a Top 5-10 team in the nation since 2023 hit. That date encompasses all of conference play which should weigh more heavily and be a better indicator of where a team is at this point.
