Don't think so. ESPN + isn't just a sub to espn networks. It has its own programming.

This is correct. espn3 and SECN+ are included with normal espn package if you have ESPN/SECN, but espn+ is totally different lineup and will not get you streaming access to standard ESPN networks. It's mainly for things not carried on the widely syndicated networks.

I do find it comical that the Big 12 games are on espn+ and we get all ours on sec+

The kids already had Disney+ while we had Hulu already - so I just ditched those individual subscriptions and signed up for the package rhat included both of those plus access to ESPN+ content. I can watch that on computer or smart phone.

The answer to the OP is no, you cannot watch most of our games with just ESPN+, you'll need some kind of cable or streaming package that includes ESPN and the SECN.

The stupid naming convention makes this kinda hard to explain to people.

Yeah but the Hulu + ESPN is the same price plan as Fubo. I looked into that.

And that was basically my question. Is ESPN+ different content than ESPN/2?

New question: is there a cheaper route to watch our games or do I have to go with a provider like Fubo/YouTube/Hulu?

You'll need something, either cable, satellite or streaming. If you're doing it legally anyway.

Cheapest way to do it legally, if you don't already have a cable subscription, the last time I checked, was https://www.sling.com/. Their prices have gone up, though. Not sure if they're still the cheapest.

Sling Orange is the cheapest mainstream and legal method. It's $40 per month and will include ESPN/ESPN2, and then the sports add on which you need in order to get SECN, ESPNU, and a handful of other specialized sports channels is an additional $11 per month.

I would recommend ESPN+ though if you're an A&M baseball fan. I want to say you have access to most of our games through it. The full 30 for 30 catalog doesn't hurt either!

I'm a fan of ESPN+. Lots of college basketball and baseball not on other networks. PGA Tour live if you like golf. NHL also. The original programming is very good.

You have to have Hulu live (if you use Hulu that is…) with ESPN to watch our games both linear and streamed. Away games at non-conf locations can be picked up by ESPN+ and must have ESPN+ licensing for those.

Home games at SEC locations are all linear or streamed via SECN+. Some are simulcast on ESPN+/SECN+

I think this is also incorrect, I think all of our home games you'll need a cable/streaming subscription.

No. This will only get you a subset of non-conference away games.

For conference games (home and away) and all home games, you will need SECN+, which is not included with ESPN+.

They need to change the name of SECN+ to something like "SEC Network Stream" to prevent this confusion.

Although it's probably intentionally confusing so people who don't need it will sign up for ESPN+

Outside of the neutral-site tournament at Minute Maid, we play a sum total of two non-conference away games: at Rice (March 8) and at UH (March14). All other non-conference games are at Blue Bell.

Last year our baseball team had the first two regional games air on ESPN+. But the only other game to air on ESPN+ was a midweek game at Rice in March.
