Questionable lineups being run out there in key times.

On a give night this team can be good, but there is just no consistency. This team probably has to win 11 games to make the tournament and right now I think they are a bottom 5 team in the conference.

WE PLAY VERY DUMB AND ARE SELFISH.

You see times where there is an opening to pass to an open teammate, yet they take it to the hoop in traffic or take the jump shot from way outside.

Henry Coleman needs to pull his head out of his ass. He is hurting this team. I'm not blaming him solely for any losses, but he has been a huge disappointment this year.

Scoring is fairly talent driven

Defense is the most baffling issue. We are absolutely awful at this "system" and refuse to adapt. Trapping their backup center in the post with Marble guarding him just to give up an open 3 was about my last straw with Buzz

Neither is the head coach. He is a fraud and not earning his paycheck at all. He is a crappy recruiter and terrible at in game adjustments. AD needs to fire him but we are a retirement destination for coaches and probably keep him one more year. Cannot wait until he resigns or is fired.

This was an NCAA year or bust. Not a single good win in the non conference schedule means the path is very narrow.

I was and am still rooting for Buzz but not looking good.

But calling him a fraud and dumb is uncalled for. Says more about you than it does him.

It's just a collection of role-players trying to mesh into a gritty team. It was never going to work, even when we were sold hype at the beginning of the season. Nebo or Q ain't walking through that door.

Texas A&M just lost at home to a 7-5 Wofford team going through coaching turmoil.

As good as Buzz Williams was at Marquette and Va Tech, hasn't been able to get it going in College Station.

51-37 overall, 21-25 in SEC play and likely en route to 4th straight year without NCAAs.

This board has made Q into some kind of All-American. Q was a gritty role player also until he wasn't.

He was your go-to offensive threat like Nebo. Neither of them were anything more than gritty role players talent-wise, but they were leaders. We don't have any leaders currently, especially with these ridiculous experimental lineups.

this team is pretty similar to the football team, albeit with lower preseason expectations. I dont think anyone expected us to suck this much.

I'm so sick of being embarrassed by A&M sports all the time. Completely unacceptable to be at this level in the 2 big men's sports.

Absolutely embarassing that there are at least 5 programs in Texas that are much better off than us in basketball.

I think we go under .500 in conference (I don't know how anyone can predict anything less at this point) and that won't be enough to get him fired. I don't think 5-13 doesn't get him fired.

I just don't get what we're waiting for if we go under .500 in conference after this non-conference showing. This is the best roster he's had here.

I agreed with everything you said, except this. I don't know why people feel the need to keep throwing this out there. Does anyone actually believe this team can make the tourney? I know it's a mathematical possibility- but it has been PAINFULLY evident to most everyone for the better part of 2 months that this is NOT a Tourney Team.

I don't believe there is any run this team can realistically put together to possibly make the NCAA's. It's just not reality.

And EVEN if we do have a magical SEC run and somehow win the SEC tourney, and we slip in the NCAA's- is that what we want perennially out of our team? Horrible recruiting, zero player development, embarrassing non-conf games, and needing to fly by the seat of our pants all year just to have a prayer at being somewhat relevant? This has gotten very old. And I was a HUGE Buzz fan and apologist. He ain't getting it done here, and there appears to be zero signs of that changing.

This is why I wish we could just fire him now. I don't care if we go on a run and squeeze into the tourney. He's shown that this is just what we can expect from his teams, and it's not good enough.

Exactly. The whole suck until February is a terrible strategy.

Bjork didn't hire Jimbo or Buzz. He hired Schloss, who took us to the final four of the CWS in his first year. None of this is Bjork's fault.

Did anything in my post make it sound like it was reasonable to go 11-8? I posted that number because I thought it was unreasonable to get there. As I said later in this thread nobody can look at this team and think we are going to go over .500. Sh*t can happen, but if you actually watch the games there is no reasonable person that can predict we finish over .500

Scott Woodward is slowly moving into Eric Hyman territory.

Buss postgame on the radio (not the media press conference) was the most defeated I have ever heard him. I think he might be coming to the realization about this team and what they are capable of.

Never understand going after Woodward when these boards would've been pissed if we didn't hire Jimbo and Buzz

You won't find anyone that thought the hire wasn't a great hire. Everybody around the country thought it was a big time hire for A&M. Buzz has been successful everywhere before here. I don't blame Woodward for the hire. It was the most successful basketball coach we have ever hired. This isn't on Woodward, this is on Buzz.
