It seems to go along with a common theme that were working towards some approach that we're not really equipped for. Wasn't the big deal a season or two ago about how deep we were and how we could just throw solid guys at you all game long with no significant drop off?

Took a third of the season before we finally started coming to grips that we needed to play our 5-6 core guys the most.

Many had an issue with Q coming off the bench as long as he did.

Ditto a few seasons back when (HERE IT COMES BOBINATOR I'M BEATING THIS DEAD HORSE) we spent the first part of the season dead-set on being a perimeter shooting team before we finally came to grips that the offense needed to run through Nebo every time down the court.

Much like my thoughts on Jimbo Fisher where the guy obviously knows his stuff but it's clear the offense does't work... Buzz has forgotten more basketball than I will ever begin to know -- but he seems like he's constantly latching on to these approaches and schemes that his team is ill-equipped for and riding them until we've dug such a hole that he has no choice but to change things up.

Really seems like 4 seasons in a row Buzz has been very poor at actually understanding what type of game his roster is best suited for and stubbornly has driven us damn near over the railings before hitting the brakes.

Buzz has always leaned on transfers. The new portal challenge is where he has built this roster. Where would we be without it and these guys:

Radford - Virginia Tech
Coleman - Duke
Marble - Michigan St.
Dennis - Wichita St.
Robinson - Arkansas
Henderson - Arkansas
Garcia - Mississippi St.
Brown - UConn

I mean that specific instance it is a dead horse that I don't agree with but I don't see the point of re-arguing it because the larger point is still true.

We're slow to start and slow to adjust. And in your fourth season that's not good.

Just my opinion here, but where using the transfer portal has been a weakness for our football program to date, it has been a big strength for our basketball program in building the roster.

I'm not disputing that. Both Jimbo and Buzz have commented on the transfer portal in terms of tampering (Jimbo) and players being already taken the moment they were listed (Buzz) suggesting it was in effect also tampering.

I think if we don't go to the tourney we go snag Kellen Sampson. Houston's coaches son, and assistant coach at UH.

This times a 1000 only have to recruit a few guys and he has missed on a lot of kids. He recruits athletes not shooters and he hasn't gotten lucky with jimmy butler type steals.

We're only delaying the inevitable by keeping him on at this point. I don't take any joy in being right on this one, but a lot of us have known for a while he's not the answer.

Then revise it. You don't have to stick to anything… it's a message board. You're an asshat who is a terrible judge of character if you think buzz is a pompous ass. We played like **** tonight, but it didn't help PSU was shooting lights out. I'd argue they'd beat anyone in the nation with a shooting night like that.

I think you fire buzz after next year. His tenure here has been extremely uneven, and has accomplished ZERO.
