Steve Prohm is a good coach and was better at Murray State than Iowa State. Not sure why anyone didn't take him seriously. And we fell into our away game pattern. Start slow, Miss like crazy.

Win or lose it still going to winter basketball at Reed. Buzz is fun to watch.

Pretty down right now. I think I need an aw shucks folksy life lesson in a post game presser and a string of nonsensical emoji tweets to pick me back up!

Hopefully we look back on this game and it was just a blip on the radar.

But it's Year 4 under Buzz. With a VERY experienced roster. And we lost Game #3 in what is a pretty poor non-conference schedule, which in turn means attendance is going to suck until probably mid-January at best.

I won't say we weren't ready to play, because it didn't look like that. It was just one of those losses.

But this was an opportunity for Buzz to really get this season started rolling early with a Top 25 team and a manageable non-conference.

He needs to start producing. Quick.

Let's be honest, attendance was probably going to be an issue even if we were ranked.

Well we've actually watched our team play and know more about our players so it's more of an educated opinion. I guarantee you he couldn't name any Murray State players before today and hadn't even watched them play.

Encouraging stat…we out shot them by 21. The percentage will be there. Bad shooting game. Get over it and do better next time.

Educated opinion means you have no idea if this is a tourney tean, nor do I. We lost our best player.

I've still got high hopes. Still, crap games like this is a good way to miss the tourney. I know it's early, but geez, every game is an opportunity. Fail.

As Wade Taylor runs hot and cold, this team will run hot and cold. Especially if the defense is not sharp. And you can't blame the second half defense on a rash of turnovers putting us in a bad spot. With our defense set and well into the shot clock we still got burned.

Buzz can have all the OKG's he wants but the PG has to be a dawg no matter what type of game we're in.

My only concern from today was how quickly and easily Wade got off his game. If his shots aren't falling he has to adjust and affect the game in different ways. I think he'll learn from this.

It also wasn't his fault we missed so many point blank shots and also not fully his fault we missed so many ft's.

Very early reality check. Let's see how we bounce back.

As was stated earlier. Our D was not alert. We cannot give up uncontested 3s. Basic. I had the same problem with Blair. No D for 3s.
