Here's a breakdown I did previously of the fewest SEC wins last 2 years
6 Vandy9 Georgia15 Ole Miss15 Texas A&M
15 Missouri
16 Alabama
18 South Carolina18 Arkansas
Looks like they generally took the worst teams the past 2 years and put them up against the AAC, and then just forced us and Missouri into the Big 12 matchups, causing them to dropped USC into the AAC matchups.
Not sure why they didn't drop Alabama instead, since there doesn't seem to be a natural connection between Alabama and K-State (or any other B12 schools). Probably would have made more sense to matchup South Carolina and K-State, but that may not have been something Frank Martin was interested in.
Arkansas-Houston would have also been a somewhat intriguing SEC-ACC matchup, based on the shared SWC history, but they also got that with Arkansas-TCU.
