Loyola Chi. head coach was Aggie Asst. In the '90s.

But he's married to an AG? Amirite?
You're absolutely right. Years ago, he told me about a year before it happened that Turgeon was looking to jump. I asked, 'Why? A&M is a great school with near limitless resources?' (this is a conversation we've had a few times).bobinator said:
I'm not doubting that you know the guy well, and I'm not even doubting that maybe even in his own head he's upset at how our online fans treat Kennedy (though I'd think any coach would love to be treated the way our administration has treated Kennedy and your regular Aggie-on-the-street fans think Kennedy is fine) and complains about it.
But, if through some weird series of events we happened to offer him to be our head coach, I highly doubt the head coach of Loyola-Chicago is going to turn down the opportunity to coach a major conference program.

Yeah and I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, I actually really appreciate the insight into what he's like, one of the best things of the tournament is seeing coaches and programs that you're not normally exposed to so getting some extra personal insight into the guy is awesome, especially because he sounds like a good dude.
he just walked over to The Tap from Sausalito Apartments. He was my neighbor.BMOC86 said:
Used to drink beer with Porter and Pigatti at the Tap when they were GA's. Great dude!
He may be a great coach and a great get. But the fact he was an asst. here in the 90s (probably for some bad teams) should not be some huge plus.bemer said:

Bemer- I wasn't attacking your post. Just a clarification on what I hope decision makers consider. The fact he has some previous connection to the university is interesting.bemer said:
Sorry Aston, I never made a claim about his ability and his future, just stated a fact about his past which is Aggie related. Seems to me he's doing well as a coach, but I'm sure you know more about that given your experience.
