I don't think we need to get Trocha off the floor, although I am fine curtailing his minutes a bit. We just need him to stop shooting so much. We can't have 1-8 nights. That loses you games. It lost us the game last night.

Agreed but last night was tough, match up wise, with Ayton and Ristic. Most games playing Hogg or Flagg as a stretch four will work fine. Very few teams play two true bigs like Arizona.

So I think we had to play Trocha, but just tell him to stop shooting. Second half was better than the first shot selection wise.

Although maybe we should have played zone and tried to exploit a Flagg v Ristic mismatch on the other side. Like run Flagg on curls off a screen with pick and roll option with Tyler or Robert at the top of the key.

It wasn't just his shooting. He just simply wasn't very good last night all around. That's not a knock on his career or what he brings to the table most of the time, but last night he didn't have it. I'd have just liked to have seen us try something else given our depth.

Arizona ultimately didn't pressure the in-bounds pass by Williams, but you have him in there because he can throw an in-bounds pass over the defender if needed. It's pretty common in these situations to have a big man throw in the ball.

With Trocha, I dont mind him taking the open 3, or mid range

Why on earth are any of our guards ever passing the ball into him on a post up? He has no idea what to do there, other than kill 5-7 seconds and brick a shot or turn it over.

As disappointed as it was watching them lose, I still can't get over the talent level we have on the court at all times. The upside for this team is so high. The back court was outplayed this night from a shooting perspective. That being said, a few plays go our way, we win. I'm not concerned. I so look forward to watching each game.

BK did a good interview with Gabe this morning.

Some key points:

- He said if he had to do it over again he would have played DJ more at the four. He said Tonny didn't play well enough and that getting Hogg at the four allows him to get more open shots,match up wise.
- He said they tried to post Hogg more but they didn't do a good enough job of getting him the ball in those opportunities.
- He flat out said Rob needs to play better. He is being to passive and is afraid of messing up. He needs to get back to what he does and scrap more.
- He said that they need to continue to teach Starks about game situations and awareness. That there are times when it is okay to take certain shots and times when it isn't, depending on score, situation, shot clock, etc.
- He said the biggest impact of the extensive travels is not fatigue but lack of practice. They generally only had time to scout and implement game plan and plan to use the next 24 days to work on fundamentals.
