Middle Tennessee now has 2 wins vs. SEC teams (@Ole Miss and vs. Vandy), not three.
I almost mentioned this game as a one to keep an eye on last night, because Middle Tennessee is pretty dang good. Besides the fact that they went to Ole Miss and beat the crap out of them (48-19 lead at halftime on the road...Wow!), don't forget that they were the #15 seed team that got that massive upset over #2 seed Michigan State this past May in the first round, immediately screwing up that region in almost everyone's bracket picks. Any team that can come in and upset a heavily favored Tom Izzo team in the NCAA tournament is pretty salty.
Next April, I think Middle Tennessee will likely be a team next March that a higher seeded team in the NCAAT will be not be looking forward to playing. Not surprised at all that they comfortably beat down a team like Vandy. They are good.
