Was on vacation in Spain last week and was walking through the Plaza Mayor in Madrid. This square is full of restaurants, cafe's, and most of all, people. As my wife and I were walking through the plaza a guy ran up to me and grabbed me from behind. To be honest, it startled me and it took me a second to realize he was asking me if I was an Aggie. I responded in the affirmative, and as I did I started to think the guy looked real familiar....It was Alex Caruso.
Alex was eating dinner and saw me walk by wearing my Aggie shirt. He jumped up and ran to catch up to me so he could introduce himself. I have to be honest it was very exciting for me to meet the guy, and especially when he flagged me down. We talked for several minutes, and he explained he is over in Spain with the Thunder playing some exhibition games. I told him how proud he had made Aggies over the last four years. In speaking to him, I came away so impressed with him as an individual, and as an Aggie. He gets it, and said he was excited to see Aggies so far from home. The couple we were traveling with (Red Raider grads) told me later how great they thought that was, and that they doubted an athlete from any school but ours would have come up to two total strangers like Alex did and engage them in conversation.
So I will try to post the pic. I hope it works. Debated if I should or not, but since Alex insisted on taking pictures of the three of us on his phone and ours, I hope I am not breaking some rule I don't know about.

There may not be time to do the job right, but there is always time to do the job over!!
