Selections won't be done before our game is on. Sometimes they're finalizing seedings up until an hour before announcement.

There really is not much downsideto losing tomorrow, unless we pull an LSU and look totally incompetent that could maybe do some emotional damage. But a close hard fought loss wouldn't be that big a deal IMO. Kentucky is a really good team playing well and it will be a home game atmosphere for them tomorrow.

Significant difference between a 3 and a 4 in the second round matchup. Tomorrow is important.

Gotta stay out of the 1 bracket? Well normally maybe but what team is no. 1 this year? There have been 7 or 8 of them at least.
You likely have to beat a higher seed eventually anyway. No doubt a 3 seed is better but not that big of a difference.
4 slot plays 1 slot in S16 / regional semi if seeds hold. 2/3 plays 1 two days later if the seeds hold on that side.
Making a S16 would be considered a win no matter how it happens E8 two days later is a bigger win. Would be easier to make E8 in 2/3 side of bracket. But this year has more parity than most. Your Mileage May Vary.

I tend to agree...except if Purdue upsets Michigan State tomorrow. I think we all agree there's 1 3 seed up for grabs. We started this weekend behind Purdue, and it's there that we will stay if they win tomorrow, regardless of what we do. The same goes for Kentucky.
I get that the B12 seems strong this year, but 3 of the Top 8 seeds to a conference that has only one a single NCAA title in the last 20 years? I guess we'll see if that respect is warranted.

This should be a great game. Just don't want anything that would shake our confidence. Want to win but a competitive loss would not hurt us.

I expect to see us as a 4 and UK as a 3 regardless of outcome tomorrow. I think Georgia was our shot at a 3. There is no real compelling reason for them to wait on our game except to decide whether us or UK should be higher than the other and there will be legit RPI/ranking data that will give an excuse to say UK is simply better and slot them as a 3 and not worry about holding up the whole bracket process while our game happens.
The b10 championship game starts at 2 on CBS. Our game isn't holding up anyone. But I would prefer the sec move the championship game to Saturday in the future. Seeding should be announced on CBS after that game.

Except that our game will be done about 3 hours before the selections come out, so there won't be any waiting needed.

It has about as much as "we beat another conference champion".

Based on their history and current team make ups. They have exactly 0 teams that can deal with an opponent that has a legitimate inside presence.

Nobody says the suck.
Many think that the top of every other conference is the better than the top of theirs.
The past has proved this. This year is TBD.
I personally happen to think to think that the ACC is the best and that the big 12 will once again underperform in the tourney.
I'll be the first to say otherwise if they prove me wrong. They are a very good league top to bottom. I just don't think they have a final four caliber team.
