I agree any team below about 80 (more than 12 spots off the bubble) has a TON of work to do and basically needs to win out until the conference finals to have any chance at all. But there is still a small chance and I like to track teams even with a very remote chance at this point. They will be quick to fall off with another loss however just like several bit the dust last night.

Was really impressed with him when he played A&M. Dude is a player.

Moody is a freakish, unique athlete. His 3-point kill shot swagger reminds me a little of Acie Law. I could see Ole Miss surprising a team or two in the NCAA largely based on what a matchup problem he causes.

So Saturday, we need LSU to beat Florida. Obviously we need to beat usc, and hopefully UT beats ole miss.

I miss this. The smaller conferences usually have conference tournaments the weekend before the "big guys"? I think?

I think House has the potential to be that type of player. He's shown it in spurts. He's been fairly consistent, but would need to take that extra step (I.e. more swagger more consistently).

Good work Colley. I'm not sure how other people feel about this, but how would you feel about adding a short "What has changed since the last update" section? This could include teams who locked, teams who fell off, biggest wins, most crippling losses, etc. I just don't want to miss anything by skimming through your projections after every update!

Yes that is something I plan to add for my next update for subsequent posts to GBH. I expect 5 or so teams to drop off in the next update.

Having read all of the bracketology analysis the last few days, I get frustrated by the "A&M has no top 50 wins" argument. Specifically, the frustration is LSU because in my mind, if we had lost both games to LSU, they would be a top 50 RPI team, yet we would still have no top 50 wins. It almost feels like we would have been better off splitting with LSU (I know we would never purposely lose), winning in Baton Rouge and losing at home, just so we could claim a Top 50 road win.

The top 50 or top 100 is just a metric for organizing data at this point.

When the selection committee does a deep dive at comparing a&m H2H vs. say a Stanford the total body of work is looked at and the quality of each win scrutinized.

jones was out that game, so the committee will take that into account when looking at our resume.

It is taken into account. But if we are getting into that level of minutia detail we are probably in trouble and didn't take care of our own business.
