A friend of mine from HS (I'm from the Chicago area) contacted me 2 years ago asking for help finding a Manziel shirt for his kid who is a very good BASEBALL player. He said his son wants to play baseball at A&M and it's all because of Manziel. Said he watches SportsCenter all the time and decided after watching Johnny play that he wanted to go to the same school even though it's on the other side of the country and he doesn't even play the same sport.

Hogg measured 6'8" 217 this summer. Not sure if that was in shoes or not but he's a tall guy. Thomas was measured at 6'8" 270 but that was summer of 2013. He's probably grown some since then. Need him and Davis to keep working on conditioning.

I can't wait to see this class hit the court. Easily our best class ever is a legit cause for excitement.

The level of basketball recruiting right now is amazing. The team is set up to have some ridiculous talent on the roster in the coming years.

So a question about Thomas: is he a one and done type player? Obviously he's a stud, but how long can we expect him in Aggieland?

And he is the second highest ranked player in this class

Depending on conditioning, I would see him being here for at least two years.

I hope DJ Hogg can be like a Joe Johnson for A&M.

I would expect all four to be here a few years maybe all four years. This is the perfect type of talent for this program. Talent that'll be here a few years. Trying to replace one and done's is hard.

Plus, think about this for a second...most people generally feel that the 4 best players on this year's team will be Alex Caruso, Jalen Jones, Davonte Fitzgerald, and Kourtney Roberson.

So...for the 2015-2016 season, you might have three of your four best players from the previous year returning. PLUS Alex Robinson and Tonny Trocha. PLUS former 5-star recruit Danuel House who will finally be eligible to play. PLUS the best recruiting class in the history of A&M.

I'm thinking NIT this season, primarily because I still have some doubts about our front court situation, but next season we will make the NCAA. Book it.

Hogg measured 6'8" in shoes, but pretty much every player in college and the NBA is listed at their in-shoes height. What is interesting is that Davis measured 6'9" in shoes, but he looks 2-3 inches taller than Hogg/thomas.
