Here is a question I've wondered for months:

How good is he going to have to be in order to meet the expectations of the BB world? Also, how soon?

What I mean is by this is, he could end up being a very good player, like an Allen Houston or Ray Allen. These are guys who have been in the league 7+ years and made a few All-Star appearances, almost always hovered around or above 20 pts/game, are always viewed as the #1 option on their team, and are recognized as Olypians/World Championship caliber players.

Is that going to be good enough (I doubt it) or is he going to have to be an MVP candiate year in and year out?

LeBron quoted as saying he may consider college ball.

LeBron going to college would be the shocker of the year.

Lebron's actions have already made him ineligible for the NCAA.

Do you think LeBron James in his first year in the NBA (provided he goes) will peform better than Amare Staudemire?

I don't think so for 2 reasons:

1. Amare was blessed when he was selected by a very talented team. He isn't the focal point of that offense at all which has allowed him to flourish a little more.

2. Amare was more physically developed one year ago than LeBron will be when he comes out (assumingly) this year. I'm not saying LeBron is weak or underdeveloped, but Stoudemire is a freak. BTW, I've read LeBron is much closer to 6'6'/220 than 6'8" 240.
