I can't help but wonder if this is another Daniel Alexander. While I know Alexander redshirted, you don't typically see redshirted players come back and make a huge contribution.

Elonu was a redshirt. Panned our pretty good and got drafted.

Elonu had to "redshirt" because he was sitting out after transferring from the initial school he signed with.

He may have HAD to redshirt, but he most certainly needed to redshirt. He definitely wasn't the most coordinated guy when he got to A&M. He benefited from the extra year, even tho in the end he left with 1 year of eligibility left. He developed his skill set greatly from the time he got to A&M to the time he left.

Alex falls into the category of a very very good high school player because his team needs him to do everything. But, he is a Sam Houston, SFA type player in college. D-1 talent bur not Tier 1 D-1 type.
Kid can play though.

I played ball with him in hs and Alex is the smartest basketball player I have ever played with. He is aware of everything happening on the court at a given time and has the skill set to take advantage of that

I didn't get any answers on the recruiting board, so I'll ask on here.
Is A&M looking at Alex Caruso at all? He's very good and athletic I know, I've seen him play.

Another good performance from Alex Caruso tonight against his former side.

Caruso vs Lakers:
17 PTS
4 REBS
6 ASTS
2 STLS
2 BLKS
3 3PM
6/12 FGM
2/2 FTM
For cat leagues he is MUST-ROSTER!
Less valuable in pts leagues but still worthy of a roster spot in 12s#FantasyBasketball https://t.co/IJ7zF8jsaJ
