if we win five or six of the last eight and one or two in the big 12 tourney we are in.....No way they keep us out.

On his Feb. 2nd Bracketology he had texas as a sixth seed. 2 home losses later, his Feb. 6th Bracketology has them as a 6th seed.

we're 3-5 in the Big XII, why would you expect him to have us in there right now? But the tu thing is ridiculous...

Should the SEC have 5 teams in vs. 4 for big12?

I give up caring about Bracketology. It's just BS.

LSU as a 10 seed and Tennessee as a 5 seed is ridiculous. LSU is leading the SEC and has already beat Tennessee @ Tennessee.

Joe Lunardi has only missed a few teams in predicting brackets over the last few years.

With 8 conference games and the conference tournament yet, why does Bracketology matter to any of y'all?

Getting upset about Bracketology right now is like watching Teen Wolf and giving up on the final game because Scott refuses to wolf-out. The only difference is that Elonu is going to wolf-out and win it.

I respect Lunardi, but some of his predictions do not make any sense.

No way does the B12 only get 4 in. No way on earth.

Start taking Bracketology seriously in about three weeks. Joe Lunardi is an expert at projecting the field after the regular season. Joe Lunardi is not an expert at predicting who's going to win and lose over the next few weeks. As far as I can tell, his current bracket is "if the season ended today".

While I agree that the system for selecting which teams go to the tourney is better than how football teams are chosen for the BCS, it is still a subjective system to an extent. There is still a table of cigars that sit around and select the teams and construct the brackets.

In NCAA b-ball, you get selected by a smaller group of guys who sit around all weekend looking at computers which feed them information...

Most people can pick the teams right before selection sunday like Lunardi does. It's really not that hard. If we looked at his bracketology sheet 8 weeks before the tourney he would get about 75% right. It's really not that big of an accomplishment to pick the teams who are going to be in with known rpi's, sos signature wins and signature losses.

so now Joe has Cincy, Zona, LSU, Baylor and Okie State above us? Can't believe I used to think he ever knew anything about basketball. We are 4-1 against the teams mentioned above

The conference isn't very good top to bottom, just like football. Just because Texas, OU and KU are good doesn't mean everyone else is good.

If it wasn't for Mizzou, the Big 12 would only get 3 in. I think our chances to get in dropped to nearly nil after the loss to OU. Baylor is Baylor and OSU isn't very good.

I don't think anyone from this conference is going past the sweet 16, and only one team is going to make it that far.

So third best conference for rpi is going to be lucky to get 4 teams in? OK

The OU game wasn't a dealbreaker for A&M...

We should not be in the tournament based on what we have done to this point. If we go 9-7 in the conference and pick up at least one decent road win we are probably in. Anything less than that and we are probably out. Right now Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Oklahoma State are ahead of us and we are probably even with Baylor.

Big 12 only gets 4 but awful SEC gets 5 ? lol.

So if OU and KU choke like UK and Tenn, he will put 7 teams from the Big 12 in.. lol

I guessing the Big 12 gets five teams in -- Texas, OU, Kansas and Missouri are flying high right now and I believe at least one of the large group at 4-4/3-5 also punch their ticket to the dance. A&M has the advantage of having the most challenging part of its season behind it. Our second half sets up for the kind of 7-1 or 6-2 run that looks good to the selection committee. The conference tournament will have a big part to play in saying who that fifth team would be.

Another pointless bracketology thread...awesome. Why do idiots on here take this thing so damn seriously? The only one that matters is the one he does right before Selection Sunday.
