They have one quality win all year. They had decent losses against North Carolina and Michigan State (didn't get blown out). Texas A&M should really be a 6 or 7 seed. BYU is at best a 9 seed but should probably really be a 10 seed. To me this is more like a 7-10 matchup.

I wouldn't say we'd win easily...this is the NCAA Tourney and if you lose you go home, so I would expect BYU to come at us full throttle

Trent Plaisted's a big who doesn't have to be right under the basket to work. We have trouble w/ that.

BYU hasn't played that well against good teams away from Provo.

A&M has played very well on neutral courts this year.

I would think that most people would give A&M the edge over BYU.

The problem with the seeding is not who A&M plays in the first round, it's the potential second round match-up where A&M gets screwed.

A #7 seed doesn't put you against a #1 seed with a home court advantage as a possible 2nd round matchup.

My point is that I'm not concerned about the 1st round matchup. I think we got totally screwed on the seeding as far as getting an 8/9 seed and having to play UCLA second round. We will have to play our best to beat UCLA.

In my opinion Kansas is better than UCLA.

I predict we beat BYU by 18 with a 12 point lead at the half.

I think its actually a pretty bad draw for us.

A&M beats BYU by 20. I have watched BYU play Wyoming twice, and they are not that special. They have one big man Plaisted, who won't get the special treatment from the refs in the tournament like he does in the MWC. They will have no answer for all the big men of A&M

Lets not forget how uneven we have been all year. I will not be doing any chest thumping but rather spend my energy praying the A&M team that plays tough defense and uses the big men to set up the offense shows up for the games.

BYU is a quality team. Should be a good game.

BYU is the exact opposite of us in this regard -- they will not lose the game by making careless mistakes. No, they are not as talented as us and have less experience against top teams, but they have great focus and take care of the ball and will take advantage of our mistakes.

Is this the Baylor board, where an up and down season is cause for smacking an opponent?

Last year, TAM had the players to make noise. Does it this year? However, BYU is a streaky team that shoots a lot of threes from four positions with a mobile big man and one shut down defensive player.

TAM has a serviceable PG with a good scorer and some passable bigs, but why TAM is smacking the opponent this year is very questionable. And whoever wins gets smacked down to earth by UCLA. I see a pick'em game with either team capable of going double digits. TAM sure haven't played consistently enough to dis any opponent.

This is true--I just looked it up. I went back and listened on my DVR what ESPN said on this matchup and again I heard that they take care of the ball........I thought that implied few turnovers..........wtf.......
