Couple that with the South Park episode, and I think the lesson to be learned here is that making fun of Mormons is actually worth money.

It always bothers me when Ags get up on their high horse about what is "classless" behavior. This thread is all the proof I need to see that most Ags are no different than any other fan base anywhere.

I'm an Aggie and I'm Mormon. Put your religious beliefs aside and show a little respect not only to our BYU visitors, but also to the numerous Ags who also happen to be Mormon.

I'm sure those of you cracking the jokes would like for us to believe it's "all in good fun", but there has been countless examples on these threads that show the vitriol some of you people harbor against the Mormons. Give it a rest.

2 of my best friends are mormons, and i am very close to both of there families. They both attend BYU having recently returned from there mission trips... and they are some of the smartest and nicest people you will ever meet... but i still make fun of the fact that they are mormon every chance i get.

I'm going to throw in the dumbass "If you don't like it, you don't have to click on the threads" comments that people invariably put in here. Shows how stupid that comment is.

I can take a joke with the best of them and don't easily get my feathers ruffled, but I understand that others might be offended by some of the things I might brush off or even laugh at. That said, while I like South Park and found the Mormon episode to be quite amusing, if we are prepared to laugh at someone else’s expense, we shouldn’t get hot and bothered should be become the target.

I don’t think it would be hard for Parker and Stone to create a pretty successful episode by targeting A&M. Let’s see – they could start with bestiality references, there would have to be something with our lack of diversity and holier than thou attitude, and our deep religious ties yet affinity for making fun of similarly conservative/religious campuses. The “squeeze” would have to be part of it, something with a saber running through a Mustang cheerleader, and probably even a poke at bonfire. I would guess Aggies everywhere would be offended and feverishly writing Comedy Central while the rest of the country chuckled.

Oh yeah it's ok to target Catholics with jokes or maybe Italians and Germans but don't dare step on hispanic or black ethnicity. So where does it end? Which is politically more correct?
