With the exception of having to possibly play Memphis, Texas has another trip to the Final Four virtually gift wrapped for them, as I expected it would be.

You couldn't see this coming before the show even started? There was no doubt they were gonna be a 2 in the South once they lost to KU. Gives 'em an easy, greasy ride to the Final 4 right in their backyard. Let's see if they handle it better than we did.

I can't see tu getting past Memphis. Memphis is way too athletic and can match tu shot for shot and they will out rebound tu. Actually, Memphis shoots better (anyone see that Tenn game? They were on fire) and they won't have to worry about FTs.
Who thought tceh would beat tu? They're a little streaky, so you never know who will show up. It only takes one loss, as we know too well.
Texas is going to go on cruise control up until the sweet 16 and wont have many issues getting to the Memphis game imo.

Sips/Barnes usually play a little tight in the tourney - see Nevada the other year.

Texas lives by the 3 point shot. They will die when they go cold. Barnes will melt down when things get close.

Great logic - no need for any in depth analysis there - would have lost 4 games in the Big 12, but will still beat the team that shared the Big 12 Title and lost to a tournament #1 seed in the conference tournament championship game that they had already beaten earlier in the year.

Basketball isn't always logical. By your math, tech never should have beaten Texas, for example.

BCG and UK definatly have their stuff together but I doubt they can beat Texas. Texas is the real deal this year. Augustine and Abrams together are a deadly combo and will be for the next couple of seasons. Those two guys have been hot all year and they have a good coach, there's no reason for them to choke now. Besides Texas has beat KU once this year and nearly had the tourney title from them. They will make the Sweet 16 at the LEAST, possibly Final 4.
Augustine and Abrams won't be a combo anywhere for the next couple seasons, unless Abrams signs as a free agent after Augustine is a lottery pick.
there are no easy games after the round of 32. Texas can and i'm pretty sure beat memphis. D.J. is a badass.

I said it in another thread and I'll say it again here...I think the sips make the final. I just have this (bad) feeling that Barnes is due for a final appearance. He's a great coach and the great ones end up there sooner or later. I'll be happy to be wrong!!!
Augustin is gonzo and the sips collapse next year. They will be a NIT team without him.
