I wish they gave explanations for why a team is falling/rising. I thought you had to lose in order to fall, but obviously not.

That doesn't make a lot of sense, does it.

Apparently win 5 (including one more road win) in a row= falling

But last week, win 4 in a row= rising

Especially when one of those wins was over the media favorite horns by 17.

I have given up on ESPN. Their sports coverage is pitiful these days. They need to just accept that they are a sports celebrity news service, and someone else needs to take over. If Fox News would pull their heads out of their asses they could do a fine job. But they would rather control the poker and Nascar market.. so heres to hoping a new sports station pops up soon.

That's pretty funny. Yes, we are falling while winning 5 straight. I wouldn't pay any attention to it if I were you. And next time don't let yourself get so worked up about ESPN that you post before checking who's logged in.

The records shown are correct. We are 19-4 in the eyes of the NCAA.

Does one of our wins not count due to the competition we played(Div II or something)?

Then I guess Texas has the same issue because their record is showing 1 less win.

Our Draw is nice though. ASU is a tough first round matchup but I think we would be favored against ASU, maybe Georgetown, and Xavier and Duke would not be my most feared #1.

The thing I would worry about being a #7 right now, is falling a spot or 2 into an #8 or #9 seed. Having to play a tough opener and then a #1 seed in the 2nd round would suck.

Unless we knock them off, then it wouldn't suck at all.

I like how within our projected bracket, our 19-4 team has a worse seed than:

(4) Kansas St. (16-6)
(5) Washington St. (19-5)
(6) Gonzaga (19-6)

Gonzaga is above us...wtf?

how is oklahoma is rising 8 seed? someone explain that, they lose longar longar , they are 4-5 in the big 12. we r a veyr hot team that has won 5 in a row, and we r a falling 7. OK

Well winning at ISU, OSU, and Mizzou, while all being down historically is nothing to shrug off. That's pretty good.

Also, not counting the pre-season NIT, we are now a decent 3-3 on the road (against all at least respectable teams). Count the pre-season NIT and we are 5-3.

There is only one road win so far that makes me think this team is getting anywhere, but even that was Missouri without Hannah.

They do not count the win over Ouchita Baptist or whatever they are because they are D-II.

I do think Lunardi's rankings are way off on us though.

jc: if you would have read above, our win over Div II Ouachita Baptist does not count towards the NCAA tourney selections...good try though

Rising, falling, whatever.

From what I have read on the bracketology site, the arrows indicate your current position relative to the last iteration of the bracket. Down arrow - lower seed than last time. Up arrow - moved up since the last time. Grey double arrow - same seed as last time.

So we are not "falling." That arrow indicates that our current slot is LOWER than the last time he put out the bracket. All this means is someone leapfrogged us in the bracket.

Is that clear to everyone?

Looking over bracketology with a co-worker, we had 10 + "wtf" moments. The whole bracketology thing is a joke.
