After watching the game last night, I don't think A&M needs to change anything they did last time.

Go inside and bang it w/ our bigs. The best thing that could happen from that is James and Atchley get into foul trouble.

After watching the game, I feel a lot better about our chances against KU as well. Our big guys "should" dominate the boards.

As usual in Austin, the refs will play a big part in determining if this can be a successful strategy for us. A few timely placed offensive foul calls and this becomes a much more difficult strategy. But you are right that is our best hope for winning the game.

As for KU, we will also need them to have another bad night shooting and rebounding like last night. When you limit their second chance points, you can beat them.

We took the horns to double OT last year. It was a heart breaker, but I don't remember being upset over bad calls.

Was there a notable difference in the officiating last year (or enough to have cost us the game)?

I know there's a difference between home refs and road refs, but a lot of people thought Sloan got fouled on the last shot of regulation against Baylor where a made free throw would have won the game. . .

I think our only chance rests squarely on the defense of our guards. If we can shut down Abrahms and Augustine again, we will win. If we get great post play, but the guards go off for 20-30 each, we'll be in for a tough evening.

I agree w/ shutting down their guards, but KU did that last night, and look what happend. We need to be really good inside as well as great D.
