I know we've been over it, but KU has a huge advantage only playing the South once and the North twice.

the football team that nobody thought deserved a BCS bowl and then beat a pretty good VaTech team?
Not saying it doesn't help but I think that Mizzou and Kansas both proved that they were damn good football teams this year

and yes i agree with OP, but only for the last few years, but its amazing to see the shift of power, from north dominated to south, in football and basketball in the big XII since it was formed

The South has had Texas, oSu and OU as top teams since the inception of the Big 12.
TTU has been decent. The last couple of years, you guys have been added to the mix.
There is nothing like that in the north.
At one point, the north had Kansas and Iowa State when they were both top 10 teams, and Missouri was salty with Arthur Johnson, Kareem Rush, Ricky Paulding, etc.
The South started to turn the tide in the TJ Ford, Hollis Price era.
