Hopefully A&M shows up to the game. We haven't the past 3 years at least since I started following bb.

A&M showed up last year ... at least, Acie did. Last year in Austin might be the one of the best college games that I've seen.

Didn't we lose in double OT last year? Seems like a pretty good effort against a pretty good team.

its what happens when you beat a top 3 team. we got it last year after the win at the phog.

They actually weren't bailing out Augustin as much as I thought they would, so there is hope when we play them

And Ol Jock, while I don't disagree that we don't deserve as much national love as some teams, I do think that we should at least get a 5 second showing of our score on the College Basketball shows, and we don't even get that. Last weekend I believe we were the only ranked Big 12 team that got no highlights...

Texas will always get more pub. than A&M....we just need to go to Austin and win. ESPN will take care of us if we take care of our business on the court. Bottom line is Texas has played a harder schedule than us and is having a pretty solid season. With that said, if we beat them on Monday we can really start to make this season very special.

I don't know, last night they had it set up pretty good...looked like a UT recruiting video. Vince, Mack, a walk through the basketball locker room, etc. It will be tough but it would sure be sweet to go in there and win.

Bajan, due to lack of size, Texas relies heavily on quickness. Generally, that translates into drawing more fouls.

I have decided to start calling DJ - Stockustin. The refs are getting better at not blowing the whistle all the time he throws his body into the defense trying to get a foul call but he still gets many bad calls in his favor.

On a fast break in the ISU game and ISU's big guy was trailing him ready to make the stuff. DJ jumps backwards into the guy instead of jumping towards the goal to cause contact and the ref gives him the call.

He was in shock last night when they called a charge on him.

DJ will be a great player at the next level but hopefully he will try to be more like Nash and make plays and less like John Stockton and become the master of the flop.

alright, so lets take out the words home cooking all together (which there will be some, lets not doubt) what do yall predict the number of fts will be for each team?

I say 30 (them) to 20 (us) or something around there..

last game, at Reed it was reversed: 28 us to 21 for them....interesting.

interesting, looking deeper we usually shoot more fts then the team we play..at ksu we shot 12 more. the only game i looked at (i looked at 3 or 4) where we didnt shoot more was at tech.

Brilliant. Our double OT loss last year really proved that we didn't "show up."

When exactly is the last time we have beaten the whornes in Austin? I really think that we can win next week if we have a good game on saturday. Hopefully t.u. will be a little tired from keeping up with baylor, and we can capitalize with this week off.

On the last year's game... our guys showed up, but I do remember only having 10 points from the bench, from only two guys, Sloan and Pompey. This time with our cycle of big men down low, and cycle of guards, we should have much more. Does anyone know what the average amount of points our bench gets a game?

Look at the bright side. If A&M beats tu, assuming a win against okielite, then they will be right back in the conference race after starting 1-3. That will generate some really good press.

I think A&M loses a close one much like last year. But I am a pessimist by nature.

And of course we never heard from Fran Fraschilla about 1,000 times that Acie Laws owns the last five minutes of a game.

And the tech game was some of the worst home cooking I've seen. The refs were literally in the pocket of Knight.

I know Aggies are going to whine about it, but this tu team deserves some credit. Who thought they would be this good after losing Durant?

That might be the absolute worst analysis of Augustin that I've seen.

Right now he is much more Stockton than Nash, but it should be noted that Stockton is a hall of fame PG too (despite being universally known for playing like a byotch).

It is one thing to try to draw a bunch of fouls (a smart strategy) but it is another to try harder to get calls than to actually make plays.

I think A&M wins if sloan cancels augustin. Sloan has been great the last 3/4 games. (HES 16/18 at FTs). I think it will come down to our back court play. We should win front court.

augustine has also been having a rough time of it recently...although if its a tight game you gota think they would have the edge in a pressure packed situation

so we just need to be up by 2 at the half and then up by 20 at the end...

That being said, the point is that, yes, it was warranted. Just like it was warranted all the talk of Durant last season when you guys were b*tching about it non-stop.
I'm sure on Monday, we'll hear for the 1,000 time how Kirk is the Big 12's best defender just like we'll hear how Augustin's one of the top PGs in the nation.
I'm sure we'll hear for the 1,000th time how Pittman's lost 70lbs just like we'll hear the same tired joke about Jones being from Normangee.

Did you watch the game? Texas drove to the basket the whole game. KU was taking jump shots from the perimeter.

i hope he will try to do that right away, since that would mean our guards would light him up for 30 points easily.
