You sip lovers got what you were hoping for AND tu finally played up to their ranking again. I still think it was bad for the Ags that the sips won tonight, but here's to our boys taking advantage of their opportunity. Win out and win the conference!

I can't believe anyone wanted the sips to win.

If it came to the last game and we'd get an outright championship, I guess I could do it.

Still, last year I found myself rooting against them vs. KU.

A three way tie for first isn't first enough to root for the sips.

i can't believe we are actually talking about this game affecting us. two weeks ago this board was goin crazy about how we would be in the NIT and now we are talking about wat scenarios we need to win the big 12?

It would be different if that was the case, but we don't even control our own destiny as far as that is concerned.

People who think we have a chance at the conference crown are a bit mistaken. Don't forget about that other team up north in KState. They have to lose 3 more games and us lose 0 to be ahead of them (they obviously have the tie-break). Not saying it won't happen, but its very unlikely.

Tie-breaker only affects seeding in the B-12 Tourney. A tie would put us as co-champs, so 2 games gets us a piece of a championship.

Honestly, KSU might lose 3 more games.

we are co-champs if we tie it doesn't matter about head to head unless its for conference seeding in the conference tournament.


same thing happened to the aggie women last year they tied for the regular season with OU by record but they had swept OU. But the were still called co-champs

I think they will, but the odds on us winning the big 12 have to be somewhere around 2-4%.

I could care less about a regular season banner. I want a top 4 seed in the Big 12 tourney, at least 2 wins there, and a deep run in the Dance.

Those first two goals just got a little harder to accomplish.

not really, if you think we finish 4th then that puts us against either Texas or Kansas State in the semi final since it will be #1 vs #4 so that means we don't see Kansas until the final.

Who cares about that Bob, its all about the sips losing. Go back to the KU board.

With tu winning tonight, just holding on to the 4th seed is a little more difficult, seeing as how we're 1/2 game ahead of a team that already beat us once. If we do manage to hold that 4th seed, we will probably have to play Baylor in our first game. We don't match up all that well with them and they get up for us like no one but Tech.

I'm not saying we can't do it; I'm not even saying we won't do it, because I think we will. All I'm saying is our road just got tougher. Plus, we still have to find two losses for K-State. I'm not sure Pat's Red Raiders can do to KSU what Bobby's did to us.

The only thing that matters to me is a deep run in the dance.

We have to get a high seed so we don't get upset, but the dance is the most important thing to me.

KSU still plays Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse so there's 1 loss, so really you're just looking for 1 more. They still have to play Texas and Baylor, I'd say the odds are pretty good that they drop 2.

I care about conference championships and I want to win one really bad, but at the same time that means I equally do not want tu to win one.

And by rooting for them to win we are saying we want to give them an excellent chance at winning the conference championship while at the same time giving us a prayer in hell of winning one.

You guys realize how many trends and streaks we'd have to overcome to even have a chance to win the big 12 this year? Most consecutive big 12 wins, win in austin for the first time in forever, beat KU two years in a row, etc.

The worst part of all of this is, we could do all of that and if KSU takes care of their business we still only come in second in the big 12.

2nd is better than 4th

Maybe we are just that confident in our team? This must be a new concept to some.

It has nothing to do with confidence. I look at the rest of our schedule and think there is not a single game left that we cannot win.

However, that is a far cry from saying we are going to win 12 big 12 games in a row and break every trend in our program's history all in one year.

I get the feeling some of you are fairly new to college sports.

I'm confident in our team. I'm just not lacking confidence in the teams above us in the standings.

Does that makes sense, sparky?

If you are confident in our team, then there is no reason to be concerned as this game tonight will mean nothing more than helping us be the #2 team in the Big 12 at worst.

KU is not unbeatable at home and got manhandled by KSU last time. Plus, the monkey on the Wildcats' backs was in Manhattan. They've actually won in Lawrence several times.
