while most are fashion statements, some are worn for injury purposes.. Iverson was the first to wear it because of injury and others thought it looked cool so started to wear them...

if its for injury purposes then its cool

I heard Iverson also wears his sleeve cause he has an "obscene" tattoo on his arm that the commish makes him cover up. Dunno if that's true at all though.
