Ok guys, what really happened was that the top-side referee inadvertantly blew her whistle, which you couldn't hear on TV, and this automatically stopped the clock. The clock in that arena is tied to a sound sensor that automatically stops it when a whistle is blown, The referees, upon review of this, should've called it game over. I've seen this play out similarly where the clockkeeper simply forgot to start the clock, and the referees have the authority to call it game over. At the very least, play should be restarted from the time of the inadvertant whistle, which is what would've happened if anyone had heard the whistle or if it wasn't a last second situation.
Cliff's notes: Clock automatically stopped on inadvertant whistle. No "start-stop," no cheating clock keeper, no consipracy.
