ah...lunardi is pretty good at what he does, but i can't imagine the sips as a two seed with the way they've been playing lately.

K-State is good. I think they will handle tu because the sips don't have anyone that can match up, even a little bit, with Beasley. He and Walker will abuse James.

They probably won't beat KU again, but they should beat Baylor.

Wow....has anyone even watched tu play? They havnt played a solid game all year it seems, and they are a two. I would love to see them get exposed to Marquette or Dayton in the second round. And there is no way UT is a one seed. I think Georgetown or or UNC is one seed, even though UNC has been having problems lately.

Polish when you're done polishing the sips cock and patting yourself on the back come back and join in. Until then realize that rankings and bracketologies* are based on "what you've done for me lately." I'm not saying we should be ranked higher than the sips but putting them as a two seed is quite rediculous especially since they lost to mizzou, got smoked by us and went to ot with Iowa state.

So you're disregarding the fact that they beat UCLA in LA, and they beat Tenn, just because is happened early??? If you looked, you'd see that both of those teams are1 and 2 seeds.

Couple that with ZERO bad losses, a top ten rpi, and #18 SOS and viola, you have a 2 seed.

1/30 @ TA&M L 80-63 (dominated ALL game)
2/02 BU W 80-72 (barely won at home)
2/06 @ OKLA W 64-54 (close for about 85% w/o their second best scorer)
2/09 @ ISU W 71-65 OT (should have lost)

When you are barely eeking out wins against that shedule, this schedule will kill you.

I could be wrong b/c they pull wins out of their a$$ but I predict at least 3 more losses for them.

Well, we don't have what the committee deems a bad loss. They look more at RPI rankings than margin of victory. So our worst lose is to tech who has a RPI of 63. The arizona loss doesn't look as bad when you look at there RPI and the fact that the committee will see they are a good team when Bayless is not injured.

For tu, they have to big wins vs. UCLA and UT. They will get credit for St. Mary's as a high RPI win, though personally I don't think a win over St. Mary's is something to bang your chest over. The WCC is a mediocre conference at best with only 2 out of 8 teams with RPIs better than 110. If Mizzou continues to drop games, that will become a bad loss in the eyes of the committee. Mizzou is teetering around the 100 mark at 91 right now. If Mizzou ends up with an RPI over 100, that will negate one of the really good wins and leave them with 2.

If A&M, beats tu in Austin, and takes care of business the rest of the way, even with a loss to KU, both teams could have similar resumes overall.

All of the people that are saying Texas is deserving of a two seed are flat out wrong as of today. It doesnt matter how you are playing if you are WINNING games, i could care less in a long season, a 2 point win equals and 15 point win on the record. They have lost to us and mizzou on the road in conference and like most college "experts" say that losing in the road will not kill your status as bad as losing a home game, and the way that we play and mizzou plays at home, its not exactly a bad loss.

Dont worry about bracketology in mid Feb, come back in March when everybody is completely done in conference and then look at good wins (ones that are on the road) and teams bad losses (blowouts on the road, or upsets at home).

As of right now, Texas has zero bad losses and two very good wins.

We have some ok wins (NIT, ou, and some of our road victories) and we have one bad loss (at tech).


But like I said, the next few weeks will iron out everything.

A couple of things to note:
-Drake #3 is craziness
-Vanderbilt is 20-4 RPI #11 and a 10 seed
-Can't believe OU is still so high
-Would only 4 ACC teams getting in be the lowest ever?

ACC will only get four (unless someone makes a run during their tourney), that conference is awful after duke, unc, clemson, and maryland. And even maryland and clemson are not that assured the way they can tank it sometimes.

Which also proves how bad the big 10 is since the ACC rolled them in that challenge.
Big 10 should get only 5 at the most:
Purdue, Wisconsin, Mich St, and Indiand are in
tOSU still needs some work if i ran the world.

I think this year there are some opportunities for some mid major divisions to get multiple bids and they should there are some very good teams out there.

Did any of you guys ever think that maybe they did it to prep the KU vs t.u game tonight? Yes I realize the sips have two good wins, but i also know that the sips have been playing no where near what they showed earlier in the year and yes seeding is based on what you've done for me lately. Check out Kentucky if you need further proof. Look at A&M...we were a 3 seed before our 3 games slide and now we're no longer a lock to the tourny.

The thing about it is that texas might not being playing great but they are WINNING, they lost two games on the road to good home teams (when mizzou was at full steam).

We slid when we LOST three games in a row. Show me where texas lost three games in a row or even two. The thing about it is the responded everytime so they deserve that ranking.

The what have you done lately for me arguement can be used for texas because they are winning, maybe not pretty but who cares, a win is a win in basketball where rankings dont matter what bowl you go to. (They can help with seeding, but then again, you have to play the game to advance, so really rankings dont mean crap if you are in the tourney)

again, as stated before i'm not arguing that we should be ranked ahead of the sips. I'm arguing that the sips shouldn't be a two seed.

Im not debating that you think that. I am trying to realize that you dont think texas deserves the two seed. They have the second best looking resume in the second ranked conference and your telling me they dont deserve it? Dont look at how they have played, just look at them on paper, thats my argument.

i will....they lost at mizzou which is not a good home team considering they have five losses at home this year. Mizzou still sucked when texas lost to them as they were 2-3 in the conference before they lost most of their team. They were also absolutely smoked by us a 6-7 seed. They were taken to ot by a horrible Iowa state team. they're wins against tennessee and ucla were a long time ago.

What i'm trying to say is that come tourny time t.u. won't even be a 3 seed.

Ok, i can agree with you on that one. I dont think they will be a 3 seed either, more a 4 or 5.

My arguement is their resume right now is ok with me with them being a 2 seed.

The SEC has 6 schools. Maybe the are rated higher than we all thought and maybe that helps Kentucky sneak in

Bracketology is fun. It's not "accurate" because it's just somebody's opinion. However, I'd have hoped that at least the "facts" were posted correctly. Ex. I believe our record is 20-4, not the stated 19-4. Another ex. We were a #5 last week but are moving up? KState is a #4 but is moving down? Pure silliness, but enjoyable nonetheless.

The reason for 19-4 is the Ouchita Baptist game does not count in regards to the RPI
