Just got back to my friend's house in St Louis after the game today vs. Mizzou. Note and comments:

* The Mizzou arena is very nice, with great sight lines and a very clean and crsip look. They have luxury boxes as well.
* The place was very very quiet. Only when they took the lead late in the first half did these people wake up. In the second half it was like being in the library.
* Even at the end when Mizzou threatened to make it close, people were leaving in droves.
* Fans were polite, but I had basically no interaction with any Tiger fans. This was unusual as almost always someone will ask me about our team, why I am at the game, etc, but nothing today.
* We looked very good for most of the game. Our size and quickness advantage really showed.

Great road win today!! Gig 'em!

i really like their gym.

I had tickets to the game today, but didn't make it. My friend and I flew to Kansas City yesterday and were 45 minutes out of town when my friend got a call that his grandmother was expected to pass away that night. So we got some early tickets back to Dallas last night.

Hopefully we'll get to make the trip in two years.

i definately agree about their arena... it is really nice, especially with the skylights...

their attendence was ridiculous, especially for a ranked opponent. the student section was no more than 2/3 to 3/4 full and the attendence looked no where near the 12000+ that was announced and a good number of people started to leave during that 15-0 run to start the 2nd half.

my wife and i were pretty much all alone among mizzou fans up in section 214 but i am proud to say i had just about the entire section turn and look at me after i went nuts returning to my reed rowdy form after DeAndre's dunk that nearly brought the rim down...

Missouri basketball hasn't been "Missouri" basketball for quite a while now.

Haven't been to the NCAA tourney since 2003. Only 1 sweet sixteen appearance in 13 years (2002).

The overall move to the big 12 has been tough for Tiger basketball, and then Quin Synder basically killed the program.

I heard on the Mizzou radio broadcast this was supposed to be their first "sellout" of the season.

I disagree. Missouri started out very well--murdered tu in the opening game(97-83)then had the bad set back with players being suspended and one of the best out for the season(broken Jaw)

Then they beat KSU--they've got some talent and I think a damn good coach.

I had been dreading this game--thrilled that we did so good--speaks well for us.

huge road win, should have a lot of confidence after this one going into a tough stretch.

Forgot to mention the student section, at best 2/3 full.

Haven't been to Mizzou's arena but it looks nice on tv. Wish Reed had luxury boxes. I have set in a few of the boxes at Tech's arena, and it is nice. Drinking a brew, watching replays on the screens right there in the suite, etc.
