Threw it down too hard and it didn't clear the bottom of the net... weird.

It went all the way through the rim and popped back out. It was really bizarre.

I have never seen that, he thought it was a basket and was running back down the floor, the isu guys had the presence of mind to realize it was still a live ball. Amazing.

I can't believe that ISU realized that it was a live ball. Excellent situational awareness.

I've seen a play like that in an NBA game from the 70's or 80's on a jumpshot. Bizarre is the only word to describe it.

The official nets they use in NCAA and NBA games are a lot stiffer than some of the more "general purpose" nets you might find at the rec/your local playground. They probably replace them more often etc., so basically when he released the rim, and the net with it, the rim jerked the ball back out. NCAA should look at that and consider changing the nets just enough so that won't happen.

There was one time in an NBA game where I saw something like it... somebody dunked it, and the ball bounced off the guy's head before it cleared the net and back up through the rim. This one was a little bit weirder since it just popped out on its own.

If it hit his head while it was in the net, it should've been basket interference.
