very serious question. why isn't a 5 second call when he stands there dribbling for 25 seconds?

is was for ISU about a 1:30 ago?


i'll never understand that rule and intentional fouls and how they are called differently inside 1 minute.

5 second violation for those who dont know.

5 second violations are called when a player with the ball who is being CLOSELY GUARDED does not give up possession after 5 seconds. If you are standing still and being closely guarded, dribbling restarts the five second count, as does picking up the dribble to pass or shoot the ball.

I'm in a good mood.

They have to be guarded for there to be a 5 second call. watch the refs, they will either be counting by waving their arm, or extemd both arms to say there is a large enough space between them, judgement call, but about an arm's length. the 5 second call can be either dribbling of not dribbling, the count starts over if there is a change between dribbling or not.
something like that.
