ESPN has us at 8 against Clemson.

Rematch with Memphis in the second round.

We need to win a lot more games and improve our eventual seed. We really don't want to play a team like Memphis in the second round.

Memphis may be good but they are also over rated. UofH was the highest RPI they had left to play. They will walk into the tournament without being tested in 2 or 3 months. Easy roads are sometimes paved with surprises!

I am still hoping for 10-6 in the big XII

Screw memph, we'll slit their throat.

And that means= that I think we can beat them. This team is only going to get better. We will be a five or six seed and go way further than our seeding should.

anyone saying memphis is overrated has not watched them play. they have been hands down the most impressive team in the nation to this point. they destroyed georgetown, and beat uconn. memphis is as talented as any team in the nation.

everyone said the same thing about not playing anyone in conf usa, and then they made the elite 8. its the same players this year, but they are better now.

Whatever is said, being at #8 is pretty good considering this season so far.

memphis probably has too much talent and athleticism for us. and they're not done being tested, they still have to play tennessee

Seriously ppl. Going to the big dance and you expect to get easy games.

You will eventually have to fight up there. Getting to the sweet 16 was already hard last year, what has changed?

BTW, knocking off a 1-seed would be amazing for publicity. So seriously, shut up.

we wont be playing the #1 team or a#1 seed in the 2nd round... thats BS

Isn't this virtually the same Memphis team that we couldn't beat last year WITH Acie Law? But they aren't that good this year? That's an interesting position to take.

I bet Memphis wouldn't want to see us as an 8/9 in their bracket...

If we finish 10-6 in conference like we should we would be more of a 5 seed. That would give us a 12 and then a 4 which would give us a decent shot at another Sweet 16 appearance.

Win today and we would be on our way.

Memphis has already played the tough part of their schedule. Their conference is not that strong and they shouldn't be tested much. The Big 12, on the other hand, is real strong and that'll help us in terms of playing much better competition to be ready for the playoffs.

we don't want thumbs up for an 8 seed. Cmon Ags, hope for better than that.

We started out as a 6 seed, moved to a 3 seed, fell back to a 6 seed after the Arizona loss, then made it back to a 3 seed before falling to a 9 seed. With all of this said, I dont put very much faith in any of these "ESPN or SI specialist" brackets. We will know what seed we are in March and until then I wouldnt worry about it.

Can't believe this morning that ESPN Gameday said Texas will be in the final four. Forgot the cat's name that said it....

Texas better start playing defense or they won't be in the final 32.

Big game for us today. This one can provide some serious momentum for our upcoming road games.

tu will get knocked out in the first round just like last year. They will likely be an 8 or 9 seed by the time it's all said and done.

We DO NOT want to see Memphis. They are one of the only teams that would absolutely roll us.

It's not that they aren't that good...
They are a very good team. But if they enter the tournament without having been tested within the last few months, then they could be surprised.

Oh, and here:

8 Texas A&M vs. 9 Clemson
Little Rock
Team Record (Conf.) RPI SOS Last 10
Texas A&M 16-4 (3-3) 31 90 7-3
Clemson 14-5 (3-3) 29 21 5-5
Texas A&M
We know one thing: The Aggies can really roll at home. That should continue through the weekend.

Why seeded here?
The Aggies are like the little girl with the curl.

May change because:
When they are good &

Good Wins
RPI 1-25: N-Ohio State, Texas
RPI 26-50: none

Bad Losses
RPI 101-200: none
RPI 201+: none

Clemson
The ACC is really scattered after the top two. All of which is good news at this point for the Tigers.

Why seeded here?
1-4 vs. InsideRPI Top 50.

May change because:
A relatively light week (B.C. at home) before the ACC road heats up.

Good Wins
RPI 1-25: none
RPI 26-50: NC State

Bad Losses
RPI 101-200: none
RPI 201+: none
