I've always had the star "like" ability on my posts and replies but for some reason very recently I don't anymore? Why would that be and could it be related to me now using the app mostly? I checked my profile settings online but that didn't help. Anyone know?

It's just not there for you, because you can't star your own posts. Once someone star's your posts, only then can you see the star on your own posts.
