It just freezes and quits loading. Got a 2 year old iPhone so don't think it's that. Cleared everything off multiple times and restarted as well.

Ditto. Twitter embeds cause the thread to fail to load multiple times on safari and then I get an error message.

It has to do with tweets that are flagged with the gray warning screen from Twitter.

We've narrowed down the issue to a bug on Twitter's end. Pushed out a fix that will temporarily disable embeds on Safari until Twitter fixes their embed code.

Thanks for the notice. I'm using Edge on an iPhone XS and iPad 2017, but still get the warning about "Twitter embeds are disabled…". Why is that?

To my understanding, nearly all browser apps on iPhone are actually just running an instance of Safari underneath. It's a restriction from Apple on their app store

Got confirmation from Twitter that the bug is fixed, rolling out a change to re-enable embeds shortly!
