On my phone and computer, desktop and mobile variants, the Twitter embed function is not working. I cannot view anyone's post that embeds a twitter link. This is a site wide issue for me, any insight on how to resolve?

having the same issue today. Has worked previously.

Embedded tweets stopped working about the time the big twitter hack happened last week

Nope. I've had this start up a month or two ago, mentioned it on this board, and got nothing. I have to literally use my iPhone to check a thread that has a tweet in it since they don't show up on my iPad. I'll see the blank gray box, and ask myself "is it worth opening this thread again on my phone to see what the entire rest of the discussion is about?" Most of the time the answer is no, so I just have to use my imagination on what was so funny, or if you're on f16, what made everyone so angry.

Finally realized that it is all embedded tweets that are not showing up. Thought they were just being deleted and I was missing them.

Photos are desktop version, mobile version, and Mobile version in desktop mode.

I'm not seeing any embedded tweets on my phone. Any suggestions on how to get them back?

Correct, the only way to get to the tweet, is to quote reply and then search the link.

Update: some of them are showing this morning, however this happened yesterday as well. Later in the day they went away.

I removed DuckDuckGo and embedded tweets started showing up again. Google must have hacked DuckDuckGo.

I don't use duck duck. Still half ass working. No one cares apparently

Same here. Still happens some days but not all the time.

If they cant figure it out they should allow the physical http link to stay, while embedding the tweet.

If you keep going forward to forums and get back to the right forum and thread it sometimes fixes itself. I have the same issue sometimes

A month and 4 days now. I guess the resources have been focusing on moderation.

Been working for me and now I can't see them from any browser.

Happening to me on Desktop. Works on mobile.

We are still investigating this issue. It's difficult to reproduce the issue since it doesn't occur consistently, but we are still trying to pin it down.

If you consistently can't see tweets, check the extensions you have installed. DuckDuckGo has a specific option for showing tweets, so make sure that's on. Otherwise, we can't guarantee that extensions that alter the page (such as ad blockers) will work with the site.

I don't think its the extensions, because i do not have any installed on the mobile browser. And it happens on the mobile browser as well.

To clarify, on mobile with no extensions, you consistently don't see tweets? Or periodically?

Some days they work, some days they don't. I cannot find a consistency between when they work and when they do not. However, when they are NOT working, I can even log into the mobile site via desktop -- and it will not show up. (I like the small form factor of the mobile site on desktop)

For me, it can even vary from board to board or thread to thread. The tweets will work on some threads and on some they don't. Hell, I remember last week I couldn't see the OP's embedded tweet, but I could other embedded tweets further down the thread. I haven't found any rhyme or reason, no pattern, to it all.
