The viewing of these uploaded photos will not be supported in the Brave browser. Unfortunately, the Brave browser removes technical aspects of the function that are in place to safeguard TexAgs resources against abuse.

I will check to see if Brave has an option to allow it for a specific website.

Is there a way to turn off the loading of these then? Pages of black boxes loading is pretty annoying.

The black boxes are eating system resources badly Ooshwa.

sure, if that works for you!

you can whitelist texags to stop it from blocking (but understand your preference not to). not sure if there is a way to whitelist just the function that's causing the problem...be looking for "referrer"

not sure what resources they'd be consuming, or why hiding them would stop it.

I was having the same problem. I got around it by using the Referer Control extension.

I added a custom site filter for "https://f5s-img.s3.amazonaws.com/" to have the referer as "https://texags.com/".

Thanks I guess I'll play with this when I get home so I don't have to look at pages of black boxes. Couldn't figure out why half the pictures were that way today.

If it's anything like the iOS app (which I'm sure it is), you'll need to click the Brave icon in the upper right corner while browsing TexAgs, and toggle the shields to the off position. AFAIK there isn't an alternative to disabling shields on mobile.

For mobile Brave you need to turn on 3rd party cookies for Texags.

I just kept playing with turning stuff on and off for about 20 minutes and that was the last thing I did. There might be another setting I changed. You might just play with it a bit.

I found no options that work. A fix and instructions from someone sure would help.

We don't officially support the Brave browser. We've attempted to provide some solutions or point in the right direction, but it will ultimately be up to the community to find the settings/extensions to make it work.

To accomplish its goals/purpose, the Brave browser intentionally disables numerous aspects of how web pages typically function. A natural byproduct is that some web functionality will not work. Such is the case here. The upload images will not work unless the http referrer is intact.

The http referrer check insures (or reasonably insures) the upload images are only used within the TexAgs community and our limited resources are wasted hosting these images for the rest of the internet.

Are you trying for mobile? I'll take a look at my settings tonight and let you know all of them to see if that could help you.

I understand Brave isn't supported by Texags, but the ads on all sites not just Texags became intrusive. After paying a yearly free to Texags it's not too much to hope for no advertising. Raise the fee if it's not enough instead of supplementing with ads provided from a company I detest.
